BERA Election Results
Following a very competitive election where turnout was almost double that of 2014, we are delighted to announce the outcome of the 2015 BERA Elections.
Sean Hayes has been elected as the BERA Treasurer and will begin his 4-year term in September.
The election for Council was highly competitive and after the final redistribution of votes, two candidates were effectively tied so BERA Officers have decided to make use of an additional vacancy on Council and five candidates have been elected.
The five will start their 3-year terms in September. Gary McCulloch and Liz Todd will serve their second terms and Mark Priestley (previously a co-opted member), Ruth Boyask and Marilyn Leask will start their first terms.
Many congratulations to those elected and commiserations to the unsuccessful candidates. It was very encouraging to see such a strong interest in serving on Council and there will be further opportunities to serve on BERA Committees in the autumn.
