From the field of four strong candidates, we are pleased to say that Mabel Encinas has been elected to BERA Council. Following consultation with the ECR Network, we have also elected directly Sin-Wang Chong as the ECR representative on BERA Council.
Both begin their four-year terms in September 2022 and will be invited to attend BERA Council in May as observers and to input to the strategic discussions held. We are delighted to be working with the successful candidates and look forward to their individual skills, experiences and perspectives contributing to BERA’s activities in the years to come. The election turnout was 7.1%. The low election turnout will be reviewed by BERA Council, thank you to all who participated.
Many congratulations to those elected and commiserations to the unsuccessful candidates. BERA is dependent upon active members involvement and it is encouraging to see such interest in serving on BERA Council. Further opportunities to join BERA Committees will be announced in due course.
