We have had a record number of abstract submissions this year, including symposia. We would like to thank everyone that helped to review the submissions. The standard of the submissions were also much higher than previous years, which has pushed the average grade for acceptance higher. As there is only a limited amount of time and space in the conference, this has led to a higher number of rejections. Symposia have scored significantly higher on average than individual papers, so we encourage you for future years to work collaboratively to submit papers. You will soon be notified of the outcome of your paper, and we look forward to welcoming you to the BERA 2014 conference.

In 2014 the BERA conference is taking place at the Institute of Education, University of London. Registration for 2014 is now open.

Corresponding author advised of outcome of peer review process

Monday 5 May
Corresponding author notified of the time and date of their presentation at the conference.

Friday 23 May
Early bird registration deadline – all presenting authors must be registered by this date otherwise the paper will be withdrawn!
