BELMAS Council are delighted to invite you to Stratford on Avon for the annual BELMAS Conference (#BELMAS2014). The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Educational Policy and Practice: Can leaders shape the landscape?’ and we are looking forward to stimulating debate and discussion both in sessions and over coffee.

Why come to BELMAS conference? BELMAS is unique in bringing together researchers into leadership and management from universities, and those who work in schools and colleges in the UK. This is enriched at conference time by our international members who attend each year from places (and educational systems) as diverse as the US, Canada, Africa and Asia; from small schools in Australia to urban schools in Chicago. Conference offers innovative ways of presenting your research, practice, or policy issue. The differing formats offer all delegates opportunities to think, discuss and share experiences of research and practice.

Our keynote speakers are Prof Howard Stevenson from the University of Nottingham, and Prof Sarah Nelson from Texas State University, USA and this year sees the return of ‘Any Questions’ with journalist Susan Young, and a lively panel.

Perhaps you have been a BELMAS member for years and never been to conference. Make this the year when you add your voice to the discussions.
