Access Bursary - Deadline 26 April 2020

Open to any UK based students, practitioners/teachers or independent researchers who has had their abstract selected for the BERA Annual Conference and have not received other BERA awards or bursaries. The bursary will provide a contribution towards travel and accommodation to the Conference. Applicants must be a BERA member. BERA will reimburse (pre-conference) standard class travel and single occupancy accommodation booked at least 8 weeks in advance (up to a total of £500). Applicants must have registered for the conference by the bursary deadline.

Student Bursary - Deadline 26 February 2020

Successful bursary applicants will be awarded a complimentary place at the BERA Annual Conference including the conference dinner. Full and part time students are eligible to apply. Students must have submitted an abstract for the conference, be a BERA Member and not have previously received support from BERA.

Teacher/Independent Researchers Bursary - Deadline 26 February 2020

Successful bursary applicants will be awarded a complimentary place at the BERA Annual Conference. All applicants must have submitted an abstract for the conference, be a BERA Member and not have previously received support from BERA.

International Bursary - Deadline 26 February 2020

Bursaries are available to individuals made up from the 84 countries classified as low income or lower-middle income as specified by the World Bank. Applicants must not have received support from BERA in the last three years. Successful bursary applicants will be awarded a complimentary place at the BERA Annual Conference, 3 nights' accommodation (at the official conference hotel) and funds towards travel up to £1000.

International Collaboration Bursary - Deadline 26 February 2020

These awards are designed to support innovative and outstanding collaborative educational research that teams a UK-based researcher with an international counterpart. Applicants must not have received support from BERA in the last three years. The award supports the presentation of that research at the BERA Conference. Successful bursary applicants will be awarded a complimentary place at the BERA Annual Conference, 3 nights' accommodation (at the official conference hotel) and funds towards travel up to £1000, this is the to international applicant only.
