Luman Zhou is a PhD candidate at the University of Manchester (UoM). She won the UoM Best Contribution to Internationalisation Awards 2024 and is a recipient of the UoM Global Scholar Fund. She is also the founder of the Global PhD network in Education (LinkedIn & Website), a non-profit network that supports first-generation international students in their families studying overseas. Luman is committed to studying how to integrate abstract critical thinking into the specific teaching process to benefit students and teachers, and her PhD explores Chinese international postgraduates’ conceptualisation, development and application of critical thinking.
