Dr Alfred Kitawi is the Director of the Centre for Research in Education and lecturer at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Strathmore University, Kenya. His expertise is in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, higher education management and integration of ICT into teaching and learning. He has led projects in community capacity development, life-skills training, and community engagement in Kenya and Uganda. Alfred has played a key role in curriculum development, including co-creating post-graduate curricula in Education Management and the design of curricula for incubators, accelerators, and innovation hubs. His research focuses on quality assurance in higher education and knowledge management. In addition to supervising postgraduate theses, Alfred has been instrumental in the creation of digital platforms such as emsingi.org and totem.ke. Committed to values-based education and community service, he strives to empower learners, promote inclusive education, and advance the development of universities and educational systems.
