Dr. Alexandra Long is the Course Director for a number Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs at Leeds Beckett University. With over 20 years of experience in playwork, she has managed various local government play projects across England. Her professional and research interests focus on the provision, funding, and evaluation of children's play services. Alexandra's PhD research led to the development of a grounded theory on the survival strategies employed by Adventure Playgrounds in England. She also volunteers as a governor at a local primary school, where she leads initiatives on inclusion and pupil support.
