Dr Louise Wheatcroft is a senior lecturer in ITE at Birmingham City University. In her research, Louise draws upon her experiences as a primary teacher and teacher educator to further research literacy and digital literacies in school and teacher education practices. Her PhD explored the digital literacy projects and practices of student teachers when navigating complex spaces in primary literacy classrooms. Louise has worked as a co-investigator on a number of international education research projects including the impact of Covid-19 on schools, communities and pupils, and teachers’ digital and AI practices in Vietnam.
