As part of Black History Month 2024, BERA is releasing a series of three videos, recorded at the 2024 BERA Annual Conference and WERA Focal Meeting, featuring the voices and insights of Black BERA members. These videos address critical issues related to Black colleagues in educational research and represent an important step in our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the field.

The question asked in this video is:

Looking to the future, what are your hopes for Black Educational Researchers?

We invite all members of the educational research community to engage with these videos, reflect on the insights shared, and continue the conversation about how we can collectively support Black researchers. By listening to their experiences and perspectives, we can better understand the work that lies ahead in creating a more equitable and inclusive field.
