Chun Hong Yan is a PhD student at Southampton Education School, the University of Southampton. His research interests include migration and education, sociology of education and socio-materialism. He is conducting doctoral research on Hong Kong British National (Overseas) migrant families’ migration and education experiences in the UK through the lens of socio-materialism. Prior to starting his research journey, he honed his expertise in teaching Chinese language in a Hong Kong secondary school.
