Dr Mary Fargher is a Lecturer in Education and MA Education (Geography) Programme Route Leader at the Institute of Education, University College London. Mary’s main research interests focus on the role of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and other geospatial technologies in constructing geographical knowledge and how to support teachers in the critical application of geospatial technologies in teaching and learning. She is currently researching ways in which GIS can be used to support climate change and sustainability education.
