Ho-Yin Chan is a DPhil candidate at the Transport Studies Unit (TSU), University of Oxford. He investigates citizen science in Hong Kong’s transport sector, which addresses local transport and environmental concerns by supplementing formal planning processes with alternative knowledge. He explores epistemic justice in urban planning, focusing on legitimising diverse forms of knowledge. He also delves into the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in urban knowledge generation and dissemination, aiming to enhance decision-making and public understanding of complex urban issues.
