Daniel Laqua, Dr

Associate Professor of European History at University of Northumbria

Daniel Laqua is Associate Professor of European History at Northumbria University. He has published widely on the history of international movements and organisations, as reflected in articles for periodicals such as The Historical Journal and The English Historical Review. He has (co-) edited three books and written two monographs, with his most recent book being a study on 'Activism across Borders since 1870: Causes, Campaigns and Conflicts in and Beyond Europe' (Bloomsbury Academic, 2023). His ongoing work on the history of international student movements and organisations has, inter alia, resulted in a special journal issue on 'Youth and Internationalism in the Twentieth Century' (Social History, 2023). Together with Georgina Brewis (UCL), he has led a series of entwined projects on student life in the aftermath of the First World War.
