Hazel Hagger, Dr

Higher education lecturer, PGCE course tutor for professional development at University of Oxford

Hazel Hagger has been a Fellow of Kellogg College since 1997. She is a University Lecturer in Educational Studies at the Department of Educational Studies where she is Director of Graduate Studies (Professional Courses). Hazel’s teaching and research interests are in professional education and development.

Hazel has lectured extensively in the UK and abroad on various aspects of teachers’ learning and development. She has also published a number of books and articles on the nature, acquisition and development of teachers’ professional knowledge and on mentoring in education. Her most recent book, – ‘Learning teaching from teachers ‘ – written with Donald McIntyre and published in December 2006, has received widespread critical approval.
