Online registration for this event has now closed, please email events@bera.ac.uk to register.

#BERA_Sexualities&Gender

@BERANews

There has never been a more important time for educational research into gender and sexualities, with numerous emerging challenges and opportunities for educational researchers to engage with these vital topics. Come and meet with our network of PGRs and ECRs, share your experiences and find out what is happening in the wider world of sexualities and gender research.

Parallel sessions will explore different aspects of how we can deepen our engagement as educational researchers of gender and sexuality. We will also include time for networking and hearing about other cutting-edge work taking place around the world.

PGRs and ECRs of any level of experience are invited to submit a one-sentence title outlining a very short (5 mins) presentation intended to introduce a further 5-minute constructive discussion about sexuality education research. This can be on any topic, but consider that this is an informal event aimed at supporting each other to overcome challenges and engage with new opportunities in sexuality education research. You might like to present on how you dealt with the process of recruitment to your research, some creative methodologies you might have used, or just share a challenge you are currently facing that others may be able to help with. We expect to have about 10 of these short presentations and discussions in the workshop interspersed with some other activities.

How to submit: Email events@bera.ac.uk

Deadline to submit: Friday 18th February 2022

Confirmation of acceptance and programme: Friday 25th February 2022
