Javeria Khadija Shah, Dr

Scholar Activist at University of London

Javeria is a cultural sociologist and interdisciplinary scholar with expertise in policy, media education, sociology, and the visual arts. She specialises in person-centred research that interrogates and re-conceptualises societal positioning(s) of the individual and their self-identity formation.

Javeria holds an academic role at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London as a member of the Principal’s Office and Programme Lead for Learning Development and Inclusion. She is also a visiting academic at several institutions and an associate at MA Education Consultancy CIC and a inclusion consultant at the Social Performance Network, which brings her into contact with a range of clients on their journey to anti-racism. Javeria’s anti-racist work is also articulated in steering group membership of the International Network for Anti-Racist Educators.
