Dr Oyinloye is a Research Associate at the University of York where she examines the doctoral applicant recruitment and selection landscape towards exploring opportunities to improve access for underrepresented groups. Alongside this, she researches family-formal school partnerships, and the lived experiences of adolescents in crisis and conflict affected contexts in Africa. Her work is methodologically underpinned by approaches that seek to centre participants’ epistemologies within the research process. Her broad research interests include equity, diversity and inclusion in access to HE; educational childhoods and youth in majority world contexts; informal apprenticeships; ethics; indigenous epistemologies; and school leadership and management. She also has several years of experience in leading the research, monitoring and evaluation activities of large donor-funded education interventions. Her experience spans Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and North America.
