Rachael Foster is the Headteacher of Lady Joanna Thornhill (Endowed) Primary school in Wye, Kent. She has previously led a Teaching School and has over 15 years’ experience of school leadership. She has been actively involved in research over a number of years. Her previous school used Action Research as a school improvement tool for nine years and she has used this approach to support other schools in developing a research culture. Other consultancy work has included developing coaching and mentoring systems in Sweden and she has just successfully completed an MBA in Education Leadership and Management. Her final piece of work on Subject Leadership is being prepared for publication.
