I am a Deputy Head of Greenside Special School in Stevenage. I have worked in the field of SEND for 15 years, starting off in the care sector. In recent years I have led a project promoting positive Mental Wellbeing in students with Severe Learning Difficulties. My simple approach has led to a twist in mindset around promoting and developing SEMH. My project uses positive phycology principles and promotes an enquiry focus in schools. My hope is the research will develop into a PHD project in the near future.
