Shelby Mombourquette is a humanities teacher at University Academy Long Sutton in South Lincolnshire. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Shelby completed her teacher training at the University of Alberta in 2016 having specialised in Secondary Social Studies and Special Education. In her time at the school, Shelby has chosen to focus on the health and wellbeing of her students. This has involved a variety of initiatives including student lunch clubs, student mentorship and becoming the mental health champion for her school through school-wide awareness and fundraising projects.
