This session will launch a new edited collection pertaining to social theory application in the context of higher education (published by Bloomsbury on December 12th 2020). https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/social-theory-and-the-politics-of-higher-education-9781350141575/
The 4 editors (two of whom are the SIG leaders Cristina Costa and Mark Murphy) will provide an overview of the book, discussing the main themes and applied theories presented in the book.
The other editors are Dr. Rille Raaper (Durham University) and Dr. Ciaran Burke (University of the West of England)
The session will then be open for Q &A with the audience to discuss issues arising from the overview of the book.
